Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. Make sure you’re registered to vote and know about all of the ways you can cast your ballot!

Registering to Vote:

  • The deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, October 11th.
  • To register to vote:
    • Visit indianavoters.com, then click “Register to Vote”.
    • You must be at least 18 years old by the date of the general election, a resident of your precinct for 30 days before the next general, municipal, or special election, and have a state-issued ID.

Vote Absentee by Mail:

  • To request an absentee ballot:
    • Visit indianavoters.com, then click “Vote by Mail”.
    • You may request your absentee ballot to be delivered by mail now, and ballots will begin to be mailed out starting in September.
    • You must submit your application to vote by mail by Thursday, October 27th at 11:59 pm.
  • Mailed-in absentee ballots must be received by the County Clerk’s office by 6 p.m. on Election Day. If it is not received by this time, even if it is postmarked on or before Election Day, it will not be accepted.

Vote Early In-Person – Hamilton County:

Early In-Person Voting begins on Wednesday, October 12th.

  • Wednesday and Thursday, October 26th & 27th from 2 pm to 7 pm

Voting on Election Day – Hamilton County:

On Election Day, voters registered in Hamilton County must vote at the polling location that incorporates their precinct. Polls will be open from 6 am to 6 pm on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th. To find your polling location, visit indianavoters.com, then click, “Find Your Polling Place”.

Voting on Election Day – Marion County:

On Election Day, voters registered in Marion County can vote at any polling location in the county. Polls will be open from 6 am to 6 pm on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th. You can find your nearest vote center at https://vote.indy.gov/vote-centers/
